Alphabet Art

I did the word believe becasue everyone is always telling us to believe in yourself. Also, becasue we need to believe in ourselves to get through tough times, to try and fight the odds. I'm pretty happy with the way this came out, but I think I could have done better. I've had a rough week and unfortuantely didn't give it my all. R.I.P Donna <3

Why Shoot in Black & White?

Some people still choose to photograph in black &white. There is a large debate between what more people prefer. Color photography and black & white photography are very different. Sometimes black & white can be more dramatic and play a better roll to fit the mood for the picture than color. For example, if you were shooting a photo where someone was crying in color, it wouldn’t feel as sad or angry as it would be portrayed in black & white. It brings out more of an emotion to pictures that are meant to be sad and gloomy. Pictures that show happiness and joy would usually look better in color, in my opinion.
In the article, ‘Why Black & White Photography?’ (http://www.digital-photography-school.com/why-black-and-white-photography) it explains that some people are obsessed with black & white for the following reasons: versatility, no distractions, subtlety of tones, and variety. I can agree with some of these points of views. It said black & white is versatile because it can work with any type of photo whether it is a landscape, portrait, urban landscape, or even architecture.  The strongest point of view that stuck out to me in the article was about the distractions. A lot of time the colors get so in the way of the photo that the attention is taken off of the main focus of the photograph. All in all, everyone has their own opinion on black & white. It’s your preference.
